(Business and Project Support)

Hours: 416 hours per year (approximately one day per week, flexible across the year)

Salary: £12,480 per year (£30 per hour)

About the Role

I’m looking for the right person to work alongside me as a Personal Assistant (Business and Project Support). This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the running of my independent work as a Mental Health Nurse Consultant.

You’ll take responsibility for the non-clinical, business-related areas that help my work run smoothly, so I can focus on delivering high-quality mental health and neuroaffirming support and training.

Key areas of work

• Business and project planning, scheduling and progress tracking

• Financial administration, including accounts, invoices and preparing tax return information

• Managing emails, diary bookings, and general administration

• Organising online and in-person meetings, presentations, and events

• Website updates, social media growth and digital communications

• Drafting and formatting documents, presentations and proposals

• Supporting advertising, marketing and outreach activity

• Helping identify income generation opportunities and managing small projects

Hours and Flexibility

The role totals 416 hours per year, averaging one day per week. Hours can be arranged flexibly depending on workload, deadlines, and project priorities.

Pay and Contract

This is a self-employed position, paid at £30 per hour, equivalent to £12,480 per year.

About You

You are:

• Business-minded, organised and proactive

• Tech confident and comfortable using Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, WordPress and similar tools

• Flexible and responsive, able to work independently while communicating clearly

• Creative and practical, able to bring structure and ideas to projects

• Neuroaffirming and values-driven, with a kind and respectful approach

• Confident in handling confidential information responsibly

Experience in small business support, project coordination, finance, or similar administrative roles would be an advantage.
